Rainbow Self Portrait 1998

This is one of my favorite paintings from 1998. It was the first painting that I sold for what I considered at the time to be a lot of money. I think this painting had something to do the novel Siddhartha. I believe I was trying to make some sort of zen statement, like become one with the environment, or bend like a blade of grass in the wind.  This was made using acrylic and watercolor on paper.  The original size was 18″ high x 24″ wide, but soon after was extended another 12″ wide.  You can see the seem in the picture to the left of the moon.
